The following is a description of courses offered by the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

 Pathology
The Pathology Course is offered to second year medical students and to those who choose to follow the Alternate Pathway course of study. The Course Director is Margaret Uthman, M.D.

 Histology
The Histology Course is offered to first year medical students and to those who choose to follow the Alternate Pathway course of study. The Course Director is Barry Van Winkle, Ph.D.

 Immunology
The Immunology Course is offered to first year medical students and to those who choose to follow the Alternate Pathway course of study. The Course Director is Steven Norris, Ph.D.

 Fourth Year Electives
The Fourth Year Electives are offered to fourth year (naturally) medical students on a rotation based schedule. These rotations range in frequency from one every 6 weeks to complete 6 month rotations.
Surgical/Autopsy Pathology
This elective is offered to fourth year medical students who desire increased understanding and awareness pathologic procedure in both the Hermann Hospital Surgical and Morgue settings. The course director is Margaret Uthman, M.D.

Clinical Microbiology
This elective is offered to fourth year medical students who desire to learn about clinical procedure in some of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine's micro-lab settings. The course director is Eiav Kno Eydia, M.D.

Clinical Pathology
This elective is offered to fourth year medical students who desire increased understanding and awareness to pathologic procedure in the clinical setting of Hermann Hospital. The course director is John Milam, M.D.
